As a life-long fitness enthusiast and online fitness coach, I often hear from clients and followers that one of the biggest challenges they face is finding the time to work out amidst busy schedules. I get it—life can be demanding. Between work, family, and social commitments, it can feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day. But I firmly believe that fitness is not about finding time—it’s about making time. That’s why I focus on creating highly efficient workout routines that fit seamlessly into even the busiest lifestyles. Here’s a glimpse into my own personal approach.
Being an early bird, my workouts take place in the quiet stillness of the morning, right before my family wakes up. Starting my day this way energizes me, clears my mind, and ensures my fitness goals are always a priority, no matter what the rest of the day brings. My routine kicks off with a warm-up on the Echo bike—a powerhouse full-body exercise bike designed for both cardio and muscle endurance. This warm-up transitions seamlessly into my first resistance training set. Between alternating sessions on the Echo bike and weighted resistance exercises, there’s no resting. The intensity of this routine is intentional. Each resistance set is performed to full failure—meaning I push my muscles to their absolute limit—and is limited to only three sets per body part.
My exercise regimen follows a “split routine” format. Day one includes Chest & Triceps; day two focuses on Back & Biceps; and day three targets Legs, Calves & Shoulders. This structure means I’m working on specific muscle groups each day while allowing adequate time for recovery. Best of all, my entire workout—warm-up, resistance exercises, and cardio inclusions—is completed in under 30 minutes. Yes, you read that correctly. Even on the busiest of days, I have a high-energy, highly effective workout behind me before breakfast.
This approach is not just about efficiency but also sustainability. A short, high-intensity workout allows me to stay consistent without feeling like fitness is taking over my schedule. It frees up the rest of the day to live life—spending time with my family, focusing on work, or simply enjoying the moments that matter.
For anyone looking to incorporate fitness into their hectic lives, simplicity and intensity are your greatest allies. It’s not about how long you work out, but how effectively you use that time. If I can do it, so can you—one dawn, one sweat session, and one goal-crushing day at a time.
